Lead-Free Waterfall

Piece shown at right is close-up of a glazed piece using the Waterfall.

Apply 3 coats of LF849 Navajo Jade over all, 2 coats of Waterfall on the top one-third of the bowl. When these coats are dry apply 2 coats of LF805 Pale Turquoise over the Waterfall.

Always apply any lead-free  glaze to cone 03-04 bisque and fire the glaze to a cone 05.

These glazes are best when used on a vertical surface. They run, as you can see in photo, so it will be necessary to apply Waterfall only to the top two-thirds of the piece.

Lead-Free White Lace

Piece shown was glazed with 3 coats of our new LF844 Red Jewel. When this is dry, apply 2 heavy coats of White Lace as shown below.

Always apply any lead-free  glaze to cone 03-04 bisque and fire the glaze to a cone 05.

Some beautiful pieces are produced by applying a different color glaze over the top of the White Lace. Also, try putting 2 coats White Lace on first and then applying 2 coats of a contrasting glaze over the top. The colors will blend and flow.

Taper glaze application near the bottom of the piece and use fire brick underneath to protect kiln shelf when glazing the complete piece with the White Lace.

Photo shows method of application used on
the red bottle above.

Use a square glaze brush, fully loaded,
and turned on it's edge. Lay the glaze on
instead of brushing.
