These are highly concentrated colors, referred to as "Single Strokes". Single-Strokes are to be used, as the name implies, with a single stroke of the brush for outlining, shading or detailing. Colors are translucent and are primarily used for brushwork designs, shading over opaque underglaze or shading and brushwork over Texture glazes, satins and foaming glazes. They are not designed for all over coverage of large areas.

Single-Strokes are formulated with lead-free materials. These colors can be used for airbrush work or added to other fired products to tint or to change the color. They provide the background of choice for scrafitto techniques. When project is complete, fire to the maturing cone of the clay you are using, and then cover with a transparent matte, satin or gloss glaze and fire to maturing cone of the glaze.

Single-Strokes can be used on Porcelain or Stoneware. Most colors are stable and will fire true or somewhat darker, with the exception of the pinks and purples, these usually burn out at cone 02. A test firing is always recommended when you plan to high fire.

Here is a photo on TU687 Santa Red.
