 by Angel Rivera

Cut glass in 4 pieces as indicated by cut lines on pattern.

Scrub both sides of glass with comet, dry with paper towel and handle only by edges while decorating.

Outline pattern with Black or White Outliner or with Unique Fired Gold.

Decorate when outlines are dry using colors of your choice.
Cut pieces of copper wire and bend a coil on one end--see photo.

Lay all pieces together (touching) on kiln shelf. Lay copper wires in place. Lay body on top of wings and over wire then fire flat to maturing cone of glass color. (016 for Original Colors and 015 for Lead-Free Glass Colors)

Center completed flat butterfly on CS108 sagger and refire to cone 017-016.

If you choose to leave some of the glass unpainted----you can use Gold leaf on the back of the wings after firing. Beautiful!
