General Directions for all Fish:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 05.
Cover all fish and the coral bases with one smooth coat of Satin Seal. Hold under running water to check for missed places. Touch up with the sealer. The colors of Tone-Ette will be listed for each fish in the order of their application. Each color will be brushed on, lightly wiped back with clean T-Shirt material, dried for a few minutes and then sprayed with Porcelain Spray. If you are working on more than one fish, simply rotate them, applying colors to first one and then the other. Eyes are finished using White, Maple Tan and Raven Black and then covered with one coat of the Kleer Gloss Sealer. Large areas of black and some of the small black details are painted on with acrylic colors instead of the black Tone-Ette. Fish are glued to the coral when both pieces are completed.

Note: When using any Porcelain Spray, shake the can well! A full minute is not too long. Spray a short blast into the air away from the object you are working on to clear the tube, then hold can about 6" or 8" from object and spray in short bursts while constantly moving can. This will prevent the white powdery residue that you sometimes get. If you do notice this powdery look, simply spray the piece with Matt Spray and then spray over this with the Porcelain Spray.

Coral Base
Cover sand area with OT18 French Antique. Fade this into OT21 Olive Green in the grassy areas and then fade into OT13 Gold at base of coral. Coral is OT25 Peach Dust. All these colors are wiped back and blended with the T-Shirt material. Bottom base is painted with NW28 Raven Black.

Refer to photo for placement of the Orange shading. Top of face and sword is OT24 Rich Walnut shaded with OT3 Black. Bottom of sword is OT26 Turquoise. Tail is OT5 Blue shaded with OT3 Black. Dry and spray. Add Blue and Black accents to fins and tail.

Fish #4

The faint lateral lines are put in with an old square shader loaded with only a touch of the Walnut. The bottom 2 sets of gills are painted with OT14 Blue-Green. The belly is OT15 Orange fading to OT7 Yellow.

Fish #6
Apply OT21 Olive Green to upper back, also to top fin and tail. Wipe back edges of top fin. Dry and spray. Green fades into Yellow on body and fades to Orange on top fin. Bottom fin is Orange. Apply French Antique to sand areas of base and your choice of Tone-Ette to the rocks and ect..
